Event #75: $1,000+111 Little One for One Drop No-Limit Hold'em

This event kicks off the final of its three opening flights today at noon PDT with players starting with 20,000 in chips. Players have the option of adding another 20,000 with a $111 donation to the One Drop Foundation, an international non-profit organization founded by Cirque du Soleil founder Guy Laliberté that has been providing access to safe water, sanitation, and hygiene since 2007.

Yesterday's Day 1b field size of 1,537 entrants more than doubled the 702 entrants from Day 1a to create a total field size of 2,239 thus far. This number will grow in leaps and bounds with unlimited reentries not only allowed throughout the ten blind levels of an hour each today, but also during the first two blind levels of tomorrow's Day 2.

Event #77: $3,000 Limit Hold'em 6-Handed

It won't be just no-limit hold'em featured today as this limit event kicks off the first of its four days today.

The action begins today at 3 p.m. PDT with players starting with 20,000 in chips and will end after ten blind levels of an hour each are in the books. Players can late register for this event until the start of Level 9 at around midnight.

Surviving players are scheduled to battle for three more days until a winner is crowned on July 11.

You may notice a jump in event numbers here with this $50,000 buy-in event listed as Event #90. This is because this event is a late addition to the schedule with organizers originally planning for 89 bracelet events. This event was added in early June after the WSOP received some feedback from the high roller community.

'We got some feedback from players who thought [the initial $50k event] was too early in the series and they weren't around for it,' said VP of Corporate Communications Seth Palansky. 'We also goofed by not having a $25K High Roller NLH on the schedule this year, which was more feedback we received from players.'
