Substrate Integrated Waveguide Cavity-Backed Slot Array Antenna Using High-Order Radiation Modes for Dual-Band Applications in -Band Abstract: A novel compact dual-band cavity-backed substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) array antenna using high-order radiation modes has been proposed in this paper. A 46GHz broadband high-gain SIW slot antenna was designed and tested to verify the SIW slot antenna design procedure.That design demonstrated good agreement between the simulatedand measuredresults. Theantenna has a measuredgain of 7.8dBiat 46.2GHz and bandwidthof 4.72GHz.Then designof a 460GHz SIW antenna was conducted in a. Substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) is a rectangular dielectric-filled waveguide, which is synthesized in a planar substrate with arrays of metallic vias to realize bilateral side walls and its transitions with planar structures. These vias act as walls of the waveguide supporting current. Abstract - The design of an antenna based on Substrate Integrated Waveguide (SIW) has been realized in this paper. The structure consists of an array of slot antenna designed to operate in Ku- band applications. The effect of introducing arrays of slots has been extensively studied unlike any other recent publications in this field.

Abstract

A Ka-band compact single layer substrate integrated waveguide monopulse slot array antenna for the application of monopulse tracking system is designed, fabricated and measured. The feeding network as well as the monopulse comparator and the subarrays is integrated on the same dielectric with the size of 140 mmtimes130 mm. The bandwidth ( S11 < -10 dB) of the antenna is 7.39% with an operating frequency range of 30.80 GHz-33.14 GHz. The maximum gain at 31.5 GHz is 18.74 dB and the maximum null depth is -46.3 dB. The sum- and difference patterns of three planes: H-plane, E-plane and diagonal plane are measured and presented.
